Due to the increase in coronavirus infection, the overall activities in 6 districts around Dhaka have been declared closed. Holidays and movement of vehicles have been banned in all types of offices-courts except emergency services. As a result, no transport will be able to enter Dhaka from those seven districts around Dhaka except emergency services. No boat will be able to pass through these districts. As a result, Dhaka will be practically isolated from the rest of the country. Meanwhile, Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said that even though the intercity train from Dhaka is running, the train will not stop in the areas where the lockdown has been declared. Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam told reporters at a briefing at the Secretariat on Monday that communication between Dhaka and Manikganj, Gopalganj, Gazipur, Rajbari, Narayanganj, Madaripur and Munshiganj had been declared closed from 6 am on Tuesday to midnight on June 30 due to increased corona. Besides, if the district administration thinks about any area, it can impose a ban there.
However, the cabinet secretary did not say whether or not there would be a ban on traffic in Dhaka. He said that he would sit in the meeting with the concerned people in the evening.
